About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leading the oversight and management of Data Quality issues, ensuring risks are identified, prioritised and remediated effectively.
  • Partnering with business and technology teams to drive accountability, challenge progress and support the delivery of sustainable solutions.
  • Investigating data quality concerns, identifying root causes and coordinating remediation activity to improve data accuracy and integrity.
  • Supporting the delivery of the Group's PRA Commitments through effective Data Quality management, issue resolution and control enhancement.
  • Monitoring and reporting on Data Quality performance, providing clear insight into risks, trends and remediation progress.
  • Promoting strong Data Quality and Data Management practices across Business & Commercial Banking, helping to embed ownership and accountability.
  • Providing subject matter expertise on Data Quality controls, governance and issue management within a critical risk and control function.
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of regulatory and governance outcomes by ensuring remediation plans remain on track and business areas meet their commitments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience working within Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Controls or a related field in a financial services organisation.
  • Experience identifying, analysing and resolving data issues, including root cause analysis, remediation planning and issue management.
  • Experience designing, operating or overseeing Data Quality controls, monitoring, profiling or data assurance activities.
  • Strong partner management skills, with experience partnering across business and technology teams to drive accountability and deliver outcomes.
  • Experience producing and presenting data, risk, control or governance reporting, translating complex information into clear insights for colleagues.
  • Experience with Data Quality tooling such as Attacama, Informatica, Collibra, Alation or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing Data Quality, Data Management or control issues through formal governance and remediation processes.
  • Experience working within Financial Services or another highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of Data Governance frameworks, Critical Data Elements (CDEs), Data Controls, Data Lineage or regulatory data requirements.
  • Understanding of risk and control frameworks, and how data-related risks are identified, assessed and mitigated.
