About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and evolve the product backlog for data-driven initiatives across Consumer Lending and Consumer Relationships.
  • Ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering and design within cross-functional teams to define, prioritise and deliver product goals.
  • Translate business needs into clear, prioritised user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement to keep delivery on track.
  • Act as the voice of the customer and business by balancing technical feasibility with commercial value.
  • Provide oversight of delivery progress, risks and dependencies across multiple squads.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 years experience as a Product Owner, ideally working within a role in a data-rich environment or similar.
  • Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including data pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, Cloud, Kafka), and data governance.
  • Proven ability to drive delivery in agile environments, handling contending priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Excellent collaborator leadership skills, with the ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience working with cross-functional squads, including data designers, engineers, and customer journey managers.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with Consumer Lending products and regulatory frameworks (desirable).
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and data visualisation platforms (desirable).
