About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build trusted relationships across business and finance
Build and lead regular and ad hoc financial performance updates, interpreting financials and challenging the business
Support the business in making strategic decisions around pricing, proposition and Investment
Learn in depth about the products we offer across BCB & CIB, needing to show curiosity to understand performance and build new analysis to help drive this forward
Forecasting and Planning to help set the direction of the business providing challenge to ensure we meet our financial commitments
Collaborate with the wider FBP community to support the BCB & CIB executive performance forums
Build an in depth knowledge on how a bank makes money, including Income, Costs, Capital and Funding & liquidity providing expert advice to the business

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proactivity to interpret performance and clearly communicate key stories and messages to the business
A curiosity to learn about the business, performance and our processes to deliver insight, control and courage to challenge
An ability to build trusted relationships with a variety of people and teams and work with those teams to support our purpose and goals
A desire to improve the way we do things
Growth mindset looking at consistently improving the way we operate and the value we add
Experience of working within a similar team or business area is desirable, and a finance qualification
