💰 £101,932 - £119,920 per year
About the role
- Lead designs through every stage of the process, from concept through to production
- Take responsibility for shaping and implementing the design strategy, including leading major strategic initiatives
- Work with research teams across the organisation to better understand customer segments and inform decisions
- Understand and design connected end-to-end customer experiences across touchpoints
- Influence senior leaders and broader product development and transformation agendas to ensure customer value
- Lead and offer leadership to a large multi-disciplinary design team to support decision-making, delivery and team culture
- Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through formal development and mentoring
- Shape and deliver customer experiences working with data analysts, behavioural scientists and specialist roles
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, engineers and senior leaders to see ideas through to implementation
Requirements
- Ability to inspire and lead designers and researchers to be creative and ensure customers are at the heart of our thinking
- Experience coaching and developing a growing Design team of 20-30 people
- Experience shaping and implementing design strategy, including leading major strategic initiatives
- Experience working with research teams, data analysts, behavioural scientists and other specialist roles
- Ability to influence proposition and business teams and senior leaders
- Experience understanding and designing end-to-end customer experiences and applying design thinking
- Experience partnering with product owners, business analysts, engineers to take ideas through to implementation
- Demonstrable resilience and ability to act as a role model for experience design advancement
- Experience establishing growth culture and building capabilities through formal development and mentoring
