About the role

  • Build, configure and manage the design tooling & systems ecosystem for Cancara OS
  • Enable designers and developers to deliver branded experiences across technologies and channels
  • Maintain and optimise design platforms (e.g. Figma, Adobe), integrations and access controls
  • Govern user access, licensing, version control and standards
  • Implement and maintain design system automation (tokens, component libraries, style systems)
  • Integrate tooling into engineering workflows to ensure seamless handoff and compatibility
  • Support adoption via onboarding, documentation and guidance
  • Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and efficiency across the tooling ecosystem

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a product owner leading multiple software development teams and owning team backlogs
  • Experience in design tooling leadership: selecting, integrating and evolving design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe)
  • Experience building and configuring automated design systems (tokens, component libraries, style systems)
  • Experience integrating tooling into developer workflows and handoffs
  • Agile delivery experience and ability to manage and coach teams using iterative approaches
  • Ability to define scalable design system architectures and governance models
  • Data-driven experimentation to improve tooling and system usability
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration with designers, engineers and product owners
  • Expertise in governance, accessibility, security policies and operational best practices
  • Experience delivering onboarding, documentation and technical enablement to users
