About the role

  • Markets Middle Office role supporting improvements to the control environment and optimising products and client franchise
  • Drive the Markets Middle Office growth plans, working with Business and Product teams
  • Coordinate across various business areas and align with Platform teams and strategic programmes
  • Offer expert advice on creating new processes and systems to meet professional standards
  • Ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards and propose enhancements
  • Maintain up-to-date process and control documentation during business transformations
  • Collaborate with Platforms, Market Risk, Finance and Risk teams to deliver tactical and strategic outcomes
  • Continuously evolve the control framework from detective/manual to automated preventative controls
  • Analyse problems to determine technical and professional solutions and independently ensure risk minimisation

Requirements

  • Strong demonstrable experience in Markets, with strong knowledge of traded products
  • Preferred background in Financial or Capital Markets Front or Middle Office
  • Excellent knowledge of Risk, PnL and / or Capital methodologies would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on technical and professional solutions
  • Solution-focused with a record of delivery
  • Solid understanding of risk and control environments, with the ability to apply Group policies effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences
  • Passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation, with experience in developing and implementing organizational procedures
  • Leadership experience in supporting and developing team members and encouraging a high-performance culture
