About the role
- Lead the execution of conduct-related control activities, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
- Act as the business champion for the Speak Up / Whistleblowing programme, promoting awareness and supporting a safe reporting environment.
- Manage the Personal Account Dealing (PAD) process, ensuring timely reviews, approvals, and escalations where necessary.
- Coordinate People Risk activities, including monitoring, reporting, and supporting mitigation plans.
- Support the annual review and coordination of Senior Managers & Certification Regime (SMCR) and Material Risk Taker (MRT) responsibilities.
- Oversee the Gifts, Entertainment and Hospitality (GEH) process, ensuring compliance with policy and appropriate governance.
- Monitor and report on colleague conduct trends, raising concerns and supporting remediation where required.
- Maintain and update the Conflicts of Interest register, ensuring accurate and timely disclosures.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of conduct risk, regulatory frameworks (e.g. SMCR, Consumer Duty), and internal control environments.
- Experience managing conduct-related processes and controls within a financial services or regulated environment.
- Excellent organisational and partner engagement skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk identification and issue resolution.
