About the role

  • Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio
  • Point person and firms contact with clients while functioning as project manager
  • Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects
  • Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects
  • Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices
  • On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design
  • Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects
  • Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing
  • Assist in informal development of other employees
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering
  • Experience working with DOTs required
  • Project team leadership experience
  • Project and client management experience
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required
  • MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is preferred.
