About the role
- Responsible for the timely processing, rating (some locations) and release of all client shipments
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments
- Create customs entries through review, proper selection of client and client records
- Data entry of shipment information for release (NSC), rating and billing
- Ensure that all mandatory fields are completed and accurate
- Verify documentation for release conditions, compliance and rating compliance
- Identify ESPs and SOPs to improve efficiencies to enhance client service and improve day to day Client Service team operations
- Research and respond to Call Center requests for information
Requirements
- No experience required
- High School/GED or equivalent required
- Associates Degree or post-secondary education preferred
- Working towards/or successful completion of the Certified Customs Specialists (CCS) designation with the Canadian Society of Customs Brokers (CSCB) or the National Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) is a requirement, if not already obtained
- Successful completion of the CCS examination is a mandatory requirement for further advancement.
