About the role
- Ensure the reliability of accounting operations while continuously improving financial processes and tools
- Manage monthly and annual closes
- Record and review journal entries (sales, purchases, payroll, bank)
- Monitor deferred revenue recognition
- Record provisions and accruals (accrued expenses, prepaid charges, bonuses, paid leave)
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Manage fixed assets and depreciation
- Prepare closing files and participate in audits
- Verify and validate supplier invoices while ensuring correct accounting treatment
- Prepare and execute payment runs and monitor accounts payable
- Monitor the cash position and prepare payment schedules
- Optimize cash management (short-term placements such as term deposits) and participate in cash forecasting and planning
- Prepare VAT, MOSS and DES filings and monitor international tax matters
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual tasks and improve processes
Requirements
- Strong accounting fundamentals (PCG - French General Chart of Accounts)
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing
- Very good Excel / Google Sheets skills
- Comfortable with financial tools and software
- Fluent in French and English
- Curiosity and a drive to improve things
- Autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to simplify and streamline processes
- Pragmatic, hands-on approach
- Experience in SaaS (plus)
- Experience with modern finance tools (plus)
- Experience with automation (plus)
- Interest in AI (plus)
