About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the planning, delivery and operational management of festivals, concerts and live events from initial planning through on-site delivery
- Maintain regular communication with the Senior Event Manager and Director of Operations through weekly meetings and other channels
- Manage event and festival budgets, including forecasting, tracking and cost control
- Procure, contract and manage suppliers for event infrastructure and services
- Procure, contract and oversee site management, health and safety, waste management, artist liaison, production management, traffic management, security and medical provision
- Support site plans, operational specifications, event management plans and health and safety documentation
- Build and maintain relationships with police, fire and ambulance services, landowners, Environmental Health, Licensing, Building Control, Emergency Planning, Planning and Highways
- Attend Safety Advisory Group and agency meetings
- Manage local resident communications, engagement, information and ticketing schemes
- Champion sustainability best practice in line with Green Nation initiatives and objectives
- Work with Promoting, Ticketing, Finance and Customer Service teams to deliver accurate budgets, ticketing, invoices and customer-facing information
- Oversee technical and hospitality advancing of shows
- Provide operational guidance and support to the Operations Administrator
- Liaise with sponsors, sponsorship teams, bars, traders and commercial partners to negotiate and deliver operational requirements
- Perform ad hoc responsibilities as required
