About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Welcome attendees at entrances and explain Ground Control’s presence and purpose
- Follow assigned shift schedules, pump water at free refill stations, and patrol event zones with assigned group members
- Operate a two-way radio and perform emergency medical calls
- Monitor radio communications and respond immediately to calls and requests
- Assist distressed individuals
- Memorize and share information from the event website, festival guide, and staff guide
- Understand evacuation procedures and identify safe refuge locations before each show opens
- Support entrance areas with megaphones and provide directional assistance to Headliners
- Report to Ground Control and Headliner Experience Managers
- Frequently travel to work events during holidays, evenings, and weekends as required
Requirements
What you’ll need- Customer service-related work experience preferred
- Experience using radios required
- Ability to work under pressure in stressful environments
- Energetic and focused personality
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments
- Ability to effectively manage deadlines
- Ability to professionally interact with individuals at all levels
- Ability to de-escalate situations
- Ability to stand for up to four hours at a time
- Ability to walk long distances and walk up/down stairs
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
- Ability to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments
- Ability to work in drastic temperature climates
- Willingness to frequently travel to work events during holidays, evenings, and weekends
- U.S. employment work authorization without visa sponsorship
