About the role
- Lead complex engineering and product development projects from initiation through implementation to support successful product launches.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management, planning teams, engineering, and plant operations.
- Manage projects through APQP deliverables, ensuring milestones are achieved on time, within quality standards, and at the required product cost.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Lead phase review activities and presentations through the NPDP / NTD processes.
- Assess project issues and develop corrective and preventative action plans when necessary.
- Ensure clear and effective communication across project teams and leadership.
- Escalate risks or issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables to ensure proactive resolution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience in a product development environment.
- Minimum 7 years of engineering project management experience within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry.
- Strong experience with APQP and PMO practices.
- Experience working directly with Automotive OEM or Tier-1 customers.
- Advanced problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with global teams and customers.
- Strong presentation and training capabilities.
- PMP certification, MS in Engineering or Business, or design engineering experience is a plus.
- Fluent English required.
