About the role
- The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous operation of Lirio’s data platform.
- Ensure that data from internal and external sources is collected, transformed, and presented in a usable form to the various data consumers within the organization.
- Assure the execution of the data platform and processes, including monitoring, proactively identifying issues, troubleshooting and timely implementation of corrections or improvements.
- Collaborate with the broader technology team to engineer new data models, systems, and workflows.
- Provide subject matter expertise across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required
- Master's Degree in Business Analytics, Business Administration, or similar preferred
- 5-7 years of related work experience
- Demonstrated experience in software engineering or data engineering
- Prior experience in health tech preferable
- Highly proficient with Python and SQL and object oriented programming
- Familiar with UNIX or Linux systems and the command line
- Knowledge of toolchains for development such as Git, Gradle, Docker, etc.
- Understanding of batch and stream processing
- Familiar with cloud platforms
- Familiar with our tech stack (Snowflake, Airflow, Kafka, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity
- Creative, dynamic, adaptable, and independent
- Strong sense of ownership of work and delivery
- Experience handling sensitive or restricted data
- Strong communicator to technical and non-technical audiences
