Lirio is a technology/software company that provides expertise in behavioral science, data science, and machine learning to deliver Precision Nudging health interventions.
This is a remote role with opportunity to be hybrid if located in Tennessee. All applicants must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
The Data Scientist is responsible for development and communication of reports, insights, narratives, and visualizations related to the performance of Precision Nudging for healthcare outcomes.
Work closely with behavioral scientists, computer scientists, machine learning engineers, and data engineers to develop methods and tools to derive insights into efficacy of Lirio behavior change programs, patient engagement execution, and ML implementations.
Tasks include exploratory data analysis, statistical & data model development, code development, data visualization development, cost/usage analysis and prediction, and contributions to data science, analytics and reporting efforts.
Customer-facing position requiring strong communication and interpretation of data for non-technical audiences and strong data storytelling abilities.
Collaborate with Lirio leadership, other data professionals and the Lirio Growth team to shape client-facing narratives.
Build and deliver customer-facing reports and insights that highlight outcomes attributable to Lirio’s Precision Nudging.
Identify and investigate data trends, anomalies, and opportunities translating findings into actionable recommendations.
Contribute to customer reports, marketing materials, and thought leadership through analytical narratives and visualizations.
Serve as interpretation layer between Data Engineering and stakeholders translating raw data, ML outputs, and complex models into understandable insights that connect technical results to business strategy and client impact.
Present complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences via creation and delivery of presentations.
Translate technical challenges into clear data requirements within Lirio’s Analytics Data Model.
Develop and support user-friendly tools and dashboards empowering self-service data access and insights.
Design and implement solutions ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and efficient reporting.
Implement changes to reporting data processes and workflows.
Maintain data governance and security/privacy standards when analyzing sensitive client data.
Design, implement, test and deploy production software in compliance with Lirio’s software development practices.
Engineer, transform, and validate datasets for modeling ensuring high data quality and reproducibility.
Design, build, and deploy predictive and prescriptive models that inform healthcare, behavioral, and business outcomes.
Apply advanced statistical methods including causal inference and time-series forecasting.
Conduct experiments and A/B testing to measure causal impact of interventions.
Collaborate with Data Engineering to build scalable pipelines for advanced analytics and ML.
Monitor and maintain model performance over time and retrain when needed.
Identify opportunities to enhance reporting tools with predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Communicate model assumptions, limitations, and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field
5+ years of experience creating data analytics methods and tools.
Fewer years of experience with higher level of education will be considered
Experience working with domain experts to analyze complex datasets
Experience with data science and data science libraries
Experience with healthcare data modeling, data literacy, data warehousing, etc.
Experience with data visualization and industry leading BI tools
Experience building scalable/repeatable analytic processes and workflows
Understanding of ethical use of data and data governance
