About the role
- Serve as technical lead on projects to ensure product designs meet performance specifications and customer requirements
- Engage as the primary technical point of contact with customers, suppliers, and test facilities to ensure our products meet or exceed expectations
- Work with electrical, mechanical and software engineers, providing technical guidance and direction towards project completion
- Contribute to process improvements, new product development, and creative problem-solving
- Confidence executing external qualification testing, preparing test equipment, and reporting results
- Communicate effectively and timely with internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic environment
- Create detailed design documentation and conduct analyses for complex systems
- Be highly self-motivated and organized, consistently managing tasks proactively and delivering high-quality results
- Assess product quality, safety, and compliance with technical standards
- Control project technical plans by reviewing designs, specifications, and schedules; recommend actions as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline & 3 + years of relevant experience
- Associate’s degree in engineering & 6 + years of relevant design experience
- Requirements analysis, system safety analysis and design expertise
- Familiarity with MS Project, technical document standards, and project management skills
- Knowledge of CAD, CAD/CAM, circuit design, and software process
- Understanding of ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards
- The ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret complex technical documentation
- Experience developing prototypes using best practices and new technology
- Ability to travel independently up to a few times a year
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
