Operations Technician I

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform a variety of tasks to safely maintain facility equipment and support pipeline operations
- Inspect/supervise equipment and maintain operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
- Collaborate with others to discover solutions to technical or operational problems
- Follow all Company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
- Acquire knowledge of and adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
- Oversee general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
- Complete assigned reports, logs and maintain accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma/GED
- Associates or two-year technical degree preferred
- Minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree
- Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Basic knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
- Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
- Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
- Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
- Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
