About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintaining one of Williams’ largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment
- Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs (Allen Bradley), and both AC/DC systems
- Ensuring safe and reliable operations by identifying root causes of equipment issues and implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime
- Maintaining and repairing process control systems to support efficient plant operations
- Collaborating with project teams to define scope and instrumentation specifications for new installations and upgrades
- Supporting construction projects, troubleshooting equipment, and analyzing data to solve technical challenges
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and travel between locations
- Ability to work in extreme conditions and elevated areas with PPE
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safety and operational excellence
- Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil & gas
- Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil & gas
- Technician Sr: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; Associate degree preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC applications
- Familiarity with Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
- Ability to embrace new technologies and drive operational efficiency
