Senior Engineer III – Pipeline Safety
LinkedInConduct technical evaluations and provide regulatory compliance support for engineering projects in Pipeline Safety. Collaborate with state and federal regulators to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct technical and economic evaluations, performance testing, design and construction of new and existing facilities, and research on new developments
- Providing regulatory compliance support for operations, engineering and projects in defined support area
- Coordinating with state and federal regulators to facilitate DOT PHMSA / State Agency inspections
- Engaging with projects to perform design reviews to ensure DOT 192 / 195 compliance
- Completing regulatory DOT 192 / 195 Assurance through internal audits and acquisition integration
- Reviewing forms and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
- Coordinating accident notifications to National Response Center and completing PHMSA accident reporting
- Researching regulatory interpretations and identification of possible impacts to the organization
- Researching DOT rule-making and state rule-making for incorporations into applicable procedures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant Engineering field from an accredited college or university, OR Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Technology in a relevant field with Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
- A minimum eight (8) years of multifaceted engineering experience in the natural gas or petrochemical industry
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Proficiency in engineering specialties covering more than one subject area
- Project Management experience preferred
- Minimum of 25% travel sometimes with minimal notice
