Director – Rates & Regulatory
LinkedInDirector of Rates & Regulatory at Williams responsible for developing rates and tariffs strategies for the interstate pipeline. Leading a team and collaborating with business partners to align with objectives.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborates with others to identify strategy and approach for rate cases and tariff filings
- Develops and maintains all policies, processes and standards and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements
- Oversees the modeling and analysis of rate base, cost of services, rate design and other items for rate cases and rate timing studies
- Develops assumptions for volume and revenue budgeting and forecasting based on market analysis, contractual provisions and regulatory considerations
- Integrates regulatory strategy with business, capital and financial planning
- Provides research and education on regulatory issues
- Coordinates workforce planning and career development activities for direct employees
- Develops/handles budgets, plan and forecasts; conducts regular cost analysis
- Mentors others and holds team accountable for performing all work in accordance with requirements, standards, policies, procedures and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum five (5) years' supervisory or management experience
- Minimum ten (10) years' relevant accounting experience
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Extensive knowledge of FERC regulations and accounting requirements/processes
