About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate insurance benefits to patients, including trial requirements and financial considerations
  • Help patients and care partners understand insurance coverage, eligibility, and financial options
  • Collect Out-of-Pocket Waivers and communicate financial assistance outcomes
  • Follow up with patients, caregivers, and SLPs to confirm understanding and resolve questions
  • Identify customer needs and provide timely, meaningful solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and customer experience
  • Collect, analyze, and report Funding Team metrics to identify trends and improve efficiency
  • Maintain CRM accuracy, patient interaction records, benefits data, and documentation in compliance with company and HIPAA standards
  • Follow established departmental processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
  • Ability to deliver a superior customer experience
  • Effective communication via email, phone call, and text
  • Calm and professional demeanor when assisting customers
  • Ability to identify customer needs and provide timely, meaningful information
  • Ability to report trends and customer feedback and recommend or implement solutions
  • Strong communication skills with external customers and internal departments
  • Flexibility with workload, openness to change, and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to adjust to the needs of people with disabilities
  • Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
  • Proficiency with HubSpot, Office 365, and Zoom, preferred
  • 1 year of experience in a healthcare-related environment, preferred
  • Ability to operate a computer with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Secure internet access and a safe, productive home work environment
  • Authorization to work in the United States
