About the role

  • Work with Director to act as liaison between Investment Accounting Operations, middle office, asset managers and custodians
  • Manage and monitor working relationships with asset managers, third-party vendors and managed service providers
  • Support internal legal team with documentation for new fundings
  • Coordination with legal, custodian and issuers on reregistration of assets
  • Assist with providing bank details related to redirect notices
  • Coordinate with private placement asset managers on fundings and process funding wires, including cross-currency transactions for non-USD private placement fundings
  • Review wire instructions for completeness, performing callback and other wire security procedures as designed and required
  • Enter wires into payment system
  • Seek requisite approvals, following up for approvals as needed
  • Monitor settlement process, provide wire reference numbers as requested by managers
  • Coordinate with Cash Management, custodian, Funds Transfer, and front office teams as required to resolve complex funding situations
  • Support custodial account structure to maximize Lincoln’s business objectives
  • Recommend bank account structures and flow of funds for the effective management of cash
  • Assist gathering requirements from asset managers for new bank accounts
  • Recommend solutions to increase operational efficiency supporting the needs of asset managers
  • Assist with transfers of private placement assets at custody
  • Contribute to the development of processes and procedures to ensure compliance with internal/external controls and requirements, SOX, and treasury and enterprise policies
  • Assist with gathering details related to audits; prepare ad hoc reports, analysis, and research as needed
  • Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines; comply with all company and site policies and procedures
  • Remain current in professional and industry trends
  • Make a positive contribution to Lincoln’s overall Finance Operations department by making suggestions for improvement, earning new skills, and deploying an innovative and enterprise-focused mindset
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) (Minimum Required)
  • 3 - 5+ Years in Treasury and/or Finance that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Prior experience working with or at commercial or investment banks highly valued
  • Technical knowledge of securities accounting required, experience with PAM for Investments preferred
  • Strong problem-solving, process improvement, and critical thinking skills, identifying the appropriate resources and tools to drive solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing work environment.
