About the role
- Evaluate, develop and troubleshoot mechanical and industrial projects in the Gainesville facility to maximize efficiency and eliminate downtime.
- Apply the principles of Lean Manufacturing in a "hands-on" position, participating in the implementation of a complete Lean culture change in a US manufacturing facility.
- Ensure current electronics are capable of producing quality parts
- Projects completed in a timely manner
- Effectivity and efficiency goals obtained for the machining cells
- Root cause of problematic issues identified and solutions recommended, acquired and implemented
Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering coursework completed in preparation for Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited engineering college or university.
- Six Sigma training
- Solidworks experience
- MS Office proficiency including Excel and Power-point
