About the role
- Plan, execute, and report on IT audits, including general controls, application controls, and cybersecurity assessments.
- Evaluate the design and effectiveness of IT controls related to systems, networks, databases, and cloud environments.
- Identify and assess IT risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them.
- Review compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to support audit activities.
- Prepare clear and concise audit reports and present findings to management.
- Monitor remediation efforts and follow up on outstanding audit issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, threats, and audit practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in IT auditing, information security, or risk management.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or similar
- Strong understanding of IT systems, networks, databases, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with audit frameworks and standards (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in audit tools and data analytics platforms (e.g., ACL, IDEA, Power BI).
