About the role
- Responsible for independently conducting the monthly payroll for a defined group of employees, taking into account labor, tax and social security law
- Maintenance and management of personnel master data in HR and payroll systems
- Processing of new hires and terminations as well as contract changes
- Point of contact for employees, managers and external parties (e.g., health insurance providers, tax authorities, government agencies)
- Preparation of analyses, reports and statistics for HR and Finance
- Review and implementation of legislative changes in the payroll area
- Close collaboration with HR, Finance and, if applicable, external payroll service providers
- Support with year-end tasks, social security and payroll tax audits
- Continuous optimization of processes in the payroll area
Requirements
- Completed commercial training, ideally with additional qualification in payroll accounting or personnel administration
- Several years of professional experience in payroll and salary accounting
- Sound knowledge of income tax and social security law
- Confident handling of common payroll systems (e.g., SAP HCM, DATEV, Paisy) and MS Office
- Strong numerical affinity, accuracy and discretion
- High service orientation and teamwork
- Good written and spoken German; English skills are an advantage.
