About the role

  • LILT: AI-driven enterprise translation platform using machine translation and human-in-the-loop systems to make information accessible across languages
  • Engineering focus: backend AI systems, workflow and interface design, large-scale cloud engineering for distributed workforce
  • Where you’ll work: hybrid role based in Indianapolis, IN or Berlin, Germany; Boston, New York, Washington DC areas start remote then transition to hybrid
  • Role: Staff Full Stack Engineer for Connect API and connectors platform; define, drive, and execute high-visibility projects enabling multilingual, localized customer experiences
  • Expectations: curious, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial, think big and dive deep, iterate on processes as company grows

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science or Masters of Science in Computer Science (Masters preferred)
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack engineer
  • Experience leading an engineering team in a technical capacity (e.g. not a manager of people)
  • Experience working on large-scale, distributed software systems
  • Proficient with backend technologies such as Python and Java
  • Experience with React or other associated libraries, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Solid relational database knowledge and significant experience with very large MySQL installations
  • Basic knowledge of NLP and machine learning techniques
  • Professional fluency in English
