About the role
- Lead one of our software development teams
- Responsible for supporting the career development of engineers on your team
- Build and deploy core backend services and frontend applications that are part of the LILT platform
- Work closely with product management and design organizations
- Set the technical direction for the team through quarterly OKRs
- Determine which projects to pursue and allocate limited resources effectively
- Recruit, hire, and develop talented engineers
- Oversee the execution of engineering projects and ensure projects are completed ahead of schedule
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices, methodologies, and standards
- Clearly communicate technical decisions and priorities to stakeholders
- Collaborate with other departments (product, marketing, sales, etc.)
Requirements
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering, with 2+ years in a leadership position
- Strong understanding of the relevant technical domain (e.g., software development, data science, etc.)
- Proven track record of successfully leading and mentoring engineering teams globally
- Ability to execute technical strategies while ensuring alignment with the business goals
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is usually required, Master’s degree preferred.
