About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Translate Christian theological content — including sermons, Scripture commentaries, catechetical materials, liturgical texts, and devotional resources — between English and your native language with a high degree of accuracy and doctrinal consistency.
- Ensure translations reflect market-specific ecclesiastical traditions, theological terminology, and formatting conventions appropriate to the target faith community.
- Apply rigorous quality standards to deliver precise, faithful content where theological accuracy and sensitivity to scriptural intent are critical.
- Adapt sermons, Christian media, and ministry video content for multilingual audiences through accurate subtitling and culturally appropriate localization.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to meet client requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Native-level proficiency in the target language(s)
- A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
- A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
- 5 years of full-time professional translation experience.
- The ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely.
- Proven professional experience in translation, localization, or subtitling within the theological or religious domain
