About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Key role in developing and managing company-wide GRC structures
Special focus on data protection/GDPR topics
Establishment, development and implementation of internal policies, standards and processes with an emphasis on data protection and compliance
Monitoring compliance with legal, regulatory and internal requirements
Implementation of technical and organizational measures (TOMs) to ensure data security
Identification, assessment and management of risks in a national and international context
Advising and training internal departments on compliance and data protection matters
Monitoring regulatory developments and deriving appropriate strategic measures
Analyzing and optimizing internal processes and preparing reports and action recommendations for executive management
Central interface between executive management, internal departments and external audit bodies

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in law, business law, business administration or a comparable field
Several years of relevant professional experience in governance, risk, compliance and data protection
Preferably in a (financial) services and/or consulting environment
Solid legal and practical knowledge in data protection/GDPR and compliance standards
Ideally with relevant additional qualifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CDPO)
Strong analytical and conceptual skills
Structured, pragmatic working style
High sense of responsibility
Strong communication skills and assertiveness
Confident presence at all organizational levels
Business-fluent German and English
