About the role
- Lead high-level project work from a design perspective with autonomy and authority, facilitating design studios and working sessions
- Leverage UX expertise and understanding of design systems, UI design, and micro-interactions
- Turn nebulous concepts into specific, useful, and delightful product features
- Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly
- Use and contribute to the current design system to ensure consistency across platforms
- Draw insights from research and data and convert them into tangible solutions
- Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with product, engineering, and marketing; oversee UX from conception to launch
- Be a positive role model and advocate for design within the organisation
Requirements
- At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience
- At least 3 years of experience for an e-commerce or B2B facing brand, with multi-sided marketplaces
- Applied experience with service design practices and a practice of constantly evolving your design process
- Applied experience working across all digital and physical manifestations (responsive web, native applications, future tech)
- Strong aesthetic and conceptual skills to help elevate the visual identity of brands
- Excellent communication and visualization skills
- Understanding of design systems, prototyping, and user research methodologies
- Passion for sharing design strategies with fellow designers, product managers, and engineers
- High level of self-awareness and deep empathy for customers and team goals
- Curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision
- Proficiency with design and collaboration tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA, and other prototyping tools
