About the role

  • Work on Development teams within the Services org responsible for development and maintenance of product features
  • Deliver on sprint commitments by developing features and fixing bugs across services
  • Participate in development planning, retrospectives and demos
  • Decompose high-level requirements into development tasks and work items
  • Communicate expectations, priorities, release status and project schedules to the team
  • Lead effort estimation for sprints and roadmap deliverables
  • Initiate and contribute to continuous improvement of software delivery processes and practices
  • Provide technical and process guidance, participate in code reviews, and support delivered tools and products
  • Take an active role in production operations, including on-call rotations
  • Help recruit talent and identify growth and career development areas for the team

Requirements

  • Strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals
  • Strong programming skills in TypeScript, Go, Java, Node.js, Ruby or Rails, or C#
  • Experience developing scalable, reliable applications on the cloud (AWS/GCP)
  • Experience in various architectural paradigms in distributed systems such as event-driven services
  • Experience leading initiatives and feature work from design to production deployment
  • Experience participating in production operations and on-call rotations
  • Strong sense of ownership, growth mindset, and customer-focused mindset
  • Collaboration and team skills; ability to participate in planning, retrospectives, demos, and code reviews
