About the role

  • Lead system-wide design initiatives with autonomy and authority, facilitating workshops and cross-functional discussions to deliver scalable and cohesive solutions
  • Leverage design systems, architecture, and cross-platform scalability expertise to create reusable, adaptable components and guidelines
  • Turn abstract system challenges into clear, scalable frameworks and processes that drive product consistency and efficiency
  • Design holistic system solutions and component frameworks that integrate across platforms, ensuring adaptability and scalability
  • Own the design system’s evolution, ensuring it remains consistent, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices
  • Use research and data to identify opportunities for system improvements and create tangible solutions that enhance scalability and usability
  • Build relationships across disciplines and advocate for system-level consistency while balancing user needs and business goals
  • Oversee the design system’s adoption, ensuring consistency from conception through implementation and iteration
  • Be a positive role model and advocate for systems thinking, fostering collaboration and excellence across the organization

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of practical, in-house experience in system design, design systems, or cross-platform UX/UI scalability
  • Applied experience with system design principles and the ability to evolve frameworks and processes to address scaling challenges
  • Applied experience designing and managing scalable systems across responsive web, native applications, and emerging technologies
  • Strong system thinking and conceptual skills
  • Excellent communication and visualization skills
  • Expertise in design systems, component architecture, and scaling best practices across platforms and teams
  • Passion for advocating systems thinking and empowering designers, product managers, and engineers with scalable design solutions
  • Acute self-awareness and deep empathy for end users and teams using the design system
  • Deep curiosity and focus on systemic strategy, vision, and scalability
  • Fluency with system design tools and platforms such as Figma, component libraries, documentation tools, and collaboration platforms
  • Strong portfolio or documentation showcasing system design and scaling decisions
