About the role

  • Craft robust systems and beautiful interfaces, write clear, performant, testable and elegant code
  • Collaborate with others in technical discussions, code reviews and architecture reviews
  • Work across multiple areas of our Hospitality platform, including POS, payments, loyalty, and more
  • Building stuff, including feature development, bug fixing, performance improvements, code reviews, peer programming, and incident response
  • Collaborate with others in the Product team on spec review, architecture and systems design, and implementation
  • Contributing to innovation and tech talks, helping other developers to “level up”
  • Working on common services, introducing new tooling or libraries, documenting and evolving best practices for development
  • As part of the wider team to achieve organizational objectives even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Senior Software Engineer including both successes and failures (“scars”), which help you make better decisions
  • Collaborative, test-driven, and agile full-stack development
  • Deep experience using PHP, Typescript, and React
  • Solid database knowledge (MySQL or Postgres), with ability to write efficient queries and optimise performance
  • Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services
  • Experience with AWS, including services such as SQS, Lambda, and Redis
