About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a book of eligible merchants offered funding through Lightspeed Capital
  • Conduct business development activities in assigned territories to drive awareness and adoption of Lightspeed Capital
  • Proactively contact existing customers to promote financial services
  • Provide high levels of service and use sales techniques to position Lightspeed Capital
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships and identify financial-service opportunities across the book of business
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise book-of-business growth
  • Achieve sales targets and coordinate with the regional Account Management leader to maximise territory opportunities
  • Use business development and relationship management techniques to meet or exceed territory sales targets
  • Provide regular feedback and represent merchant perspectives to business leaders
  • Understand and communicate the risk-based nature of Merchant Capital Advances with support from the Risk team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Sales experience, preferably selling a financial service product
  • Track record of high performance for several years running
  • Understanding of solution-based consultative sales in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com and other technologies to manage and organise pipeline
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage and build solid internal and external partnerships
  • Ability to work collaboratively with adjacent teams and forge positive relationships
