About the role
- Develop and execute the Lighthouse Credit Union Foundation's strategy to support the credit union's mission
- Transform the existing Foundation and enhance strategic community involvement in areas such as food insecurity, access to affordable housing, and educational support
- Establish relationships with key community leaders to fully develop Foundation programs and sustain funding
- Grow, organize, and direct milestone fundraising events and outreach to increase donor participation and annual donations
- Develop and direct all external fundraising activities through outreach and development of business and community donor prospects
- Oversee financial records, manage budgeting and reporting for donor and grant stewardship
- Partner with Foundation Board, Executive Leaders, and Marketing to guide donor development and community relations
- Oversee and lead the Foundation’s Advancement Director and supporting team, providing guidance and performance management
- Collaborate with Marketing to create engaging content for annual and special fundraising campaigns
- Solicit donors for fundraising campaigns, including matching gift campaigns and board-led initiatives
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in a nonprofit, for-profit, foundation, or mission-driven organization, including board engagement and fundraising
- Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree preferred in nonprofit management, public administration, business, or a related field
- Extensive experience working with senior management, risk committees, and regulatory bodies
- Experience in leading teams and managing cross-functional projects
- Proven success in strategic planning, program development, and stakeholder engagement
- Deep understanding of community development, financial inclusion, and social impact work
- Experience managing budgets and overseeing grantmaking or philanthropic initiatives
