About the role

  • Mentor, coach, and unblock engineers to help the team level up
  • Drive architectural and security decisions balancing speed with long-term health
  • Champion developer experience by building systems and workflows that enable fast shipping
  • Own engineering velocity, set iteration standards, and take responsibility for SLAs and reliability
  • Collaborate across product and design to deliver rapid end-to-end iterations
  • Establish a culture where iteration > perfection and shipping fast is celebrated
  • Work publicly on an open-source product and listen to community and user feedback

Requirements

  • Top-tier engineering experience with leadership or EM experience
  • Experience building and scaling products in early-stage startups
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach engineers
  • Strong architecture instincts and solid security knowledge
  • Velocity mindset: iterate and ship quickly
  • Comfortable with AI-assisted development (AI-first)
  • Focus on developer experience (DevX)
  • Execution focus: monitoring, observability, and performance
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, Node, SQL; frameworks and infra (Express, Redux, RTK, Docker, GCP, Kubernetes)
