The Economic Consultant will work with the Education Professional Services team to complete projects relating to program alignment and the value of higher education institutions.
Produce economic impact studies, program demand gap analyses, data models, and visualizations that answer questions about the value of higher education and how the market can respond to the future of work.
Lead client projects, build advanced analytical models, analyze market conditions, and communicate recommendations to colleges and universities.
Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations and deliver high-quality projects on time while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
Lead client projects by performing quantitative analysis using Lightcast’s world-class data and other sources to research, model, and recommend solutions for colleges and universities.
Build and apply advanced analytical models, working with large datasets, reports, and visualizations to evaluate program alignment with labor market needs and assess the value of higher education.
Analyze market conditions, competition, and industry dynamics to identify clients’ positioning and growth opportunities.
Communicate key insights and recommendations clearly, advising clients on how to use data for informed, data-driven decision-making.
Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations in an accessible manner for diverse audiences.
Deliver high-quality projects on time while managing multiple priorities and maintaining strong attention to detail.
Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, supportive culture while contributing independently to shared goals.
Demonstrate strong analytical, technical, and statistical skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into simple, actionable insights.
Utilize proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint to develop impactful analyses, reports, and presentations.
Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years of experience or education in Economics or a field with a quantitative and analytic focus.
Experience making data-driven decisions, preferably for higher education institutions, preferred.
