About the role

  • Our Benefits team is looking for a Benefits Specialist to assist with the administration of US Benefits Programs.
  • In this role, you will help support the day-to-day responsibilities of administering our health and welfare benefits, including providing direct support to our employee population with all benefits related questions, enrollments, and escalations.
  • The ideal candidate is empathetic, enthusiastic, and able to critically review and find solutions to complex problems.
  • Compensation: $25.37 - $30.30/hour
  • Respond to PeopleDesk tickets including employee inquiries regarding benefit enrollments, life events, and general benefits questions.
  • Approval of new hire benefits enrollments and Qualified Life Events in Workday
  • Interact with employees to resolve issues with a high degree of confidentiality, empathy, and customer service.
  • Assist with annual Open Enrollment, respond to employee inquiries, and participate in information sessions.
  • Conduct One-on-One Teams meetings as needed to assist employees with enrollments and changes in Workday.
  • Knowledge of FMLA and ADA.
  • Track and calculate pay for Paid Parental Leave and relay calculations to payroll department.
  • Reconcile arrears balances and relay adjustments to payroll department.
  • Review retro calculations and create adjustments via EIB as needed.
  • Responds to general 401(k), FSA and Health Savings inquiries.
  • Attends inter department meetings to discuss processes and share ideas

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of work experience in Benefits, HR and Payroll (i.e., Benefits Analyst, Benefits Specialist, Benefits Coordinator, HR Administrator, Payroll Specialist, etc.)
  • Workday experience in benefits with retro process a plus
  • Must have strong technical skills including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and navigation of carrier’s websites
  • Must have the ability to reconcile and calculate benefit deduction adjustments and arrears
  • Accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail are critical in this position
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States
