About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and facilitate special assignments such as graduations and school board meetings
  • Support School Administrative Management with calendar management, time-off requests, timesheets, substitute teaching assignments, school events, and meetings
  • Research and compile data from diverse sources
  • Prepare statistical information for reports
  • Assist staff with state-mandated testing
  • Coordinate with divisions and departments on school and organizational practices
  • Type, compose, and edit correspondence, memos, letters, agendas, and reports
  • Attend school board meetings, take minutes, and maintain official minutes
  • Provide information about school policies, procedures, and objectives
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries by phone, letter, or in person
  • Handle confidential information and employee absence/tardiness calls
  • Refer complaints and concerns to appropriate management
  • Review documents, records, reports, and forms for accuracy and compliance
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of records and files, including testing data
  • Maintain petty cash and coordinate with the Finance Department
  • Perform special assignments as directed

Requirements

  • Three years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience
  • Work experience supporting successful interaction with the public in the private or public sector
  • Records management experience
  • Data entry skills
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm or greater
  • Ability to travel to affiliate school campuses
  • Ability to meet sedentary-work physical requirements and handle frequent multitasking, changing priorities, repetitive exacting work, deadlines, and a noisy, distracting environment
