About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with People Services, Organization and School Leadership in managing Employee Relations services
  • Manage ER projects, policies and procedures, investigations, and compliance
  • Analyze ER matters and recommend appropriate employment actions
  • Maintain data integrity, troubleshoot issues, and recommend solutions
  • Run and analyze ER reports, employee data, metrics, analytics, and project progress
  • Coach, advise, and train managers and supervisors on employee relations practices
  • Communicate with employees about ER concerns and provide resolution guidance
  • Collaborate with managers on performance issues and support corrective action processes
  • Monitor federal, state, local, and applicable laws and regulations for organizational compliance
  • Facilitate conflict resolution between employees and supervisors
  • Manage, coordinate, supervise, coach, and direct team hiring, training, performance evaluations, and daily activities
  • Perform assigned administrative duties
  • Report to the Director of People Services – Employee Relations or designee

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business, or a related field, or 2 years’ equivalent work experience demonstrating applicable skills
  • 3 years’ experience designing, developing, and supporting organization-wide programs and project management in Human Resources, HR, and Employee Relations
  • 2 years’ experience in management roles preferred
  • Human Resources industry certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or CP) preferred
  • Experience managing and supporting dynamic HR teams
  • Advanced-level proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other technology applications
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong documentation, records management, and oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Critical-thinking, data-analysis, decision-making, and systems/process problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple requests or interruptions
  • Ability to travel in performance of job duties
  • Ability to perform the stated physical, mental, mobility, strength, and environmental requirements
