Lifelong Learning Administration CorporationTutor assisting students in online or virtual classes, providing academic support in various subjects. Evaluating and facilitating learning while maintaining professional relationships with students and staff.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Tutor students in all subject areas based on various mediums or platforms such as online classes and small group tutoring
- Tutor students in the skills, such as literacy, technology, and access to online or virtual courses
- Provide basic technical support with online course set up and access
- Evaluate student binders, including calendars, class and text notes, book notes, etc.
- Establish control in the learning environments and administer discipline in accordance with policies
- Conduct mini lessons in writing, study skills, and course preparation
- Facilitate peer critique groups and maintain professional relationships with all involved
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of at least two years of College (48 units)
- Associate degree (or higher) from an accredited state college
- Pass a State or local academic assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction (California Basic Education Skills Test)
- Knowledgeable in Math and Reading teaching techniques is preferred
- Bilingual speaking skills is desired
- Proficient in basic computer literacy and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
