About the role

  • Partner with the VP of Product and BD leadership to define and evolve Life360’s ecosystem strategy — identifying the categories of partnership that can generate the most value for members and for the business
  • Develop a structured hypothesis framework for evaluating partnership and integration opportunities, drawing on customer insights, competitive analysis, and strategic fit
  • Design and run rapid experiments to test the value of specific partner verticals and JTBDs
  • Work directly with external partners to define integration scopes, align on value propositions, and shape the product experiences that will go in front of Life360’s members
  • Synthesize learnings from experiments and partner conversations into clear recommendations for what to build/platformize, what to deprecate, and where to explore next
  • Build the internal business cases for future ecosystem investments, working with Finance, Legal, and Engineering to assess feasibility, cost, and expected return
  • Serve as the connective tissue between BD, Product, and Engineering — ensuring partner integrations are technically sound, on-brand, and genuinely valuable to families
  • Stay close to the competitive landscape and emerging trends in family tech, connected devices, and digital ecosystems to proactively surface new strategic opportunities

Requirements

  • 12+ years of product management experience, having reached staff, principal, or director-level IC scope
  • Demonstrated track record of building new products or lines of business from zero — experience with 0→ 1 product development is essential
  • Experience working on or alongside partnerships, BD, or platform/ecosystem strategy at a consumer or B2C technology company
  • Strong strategic thinker who can move fluidly between big-picture vision and hands-on experimentation
  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid learning cycles: you form clear hypotheses, design lean tests, and let data guide next steps
  • Communicates complex strategy clearly and persuasively to senior leadership, cross-functional partners, and external stakeholders
  • Collaborative: you know how to build trust quickly with BD counterparts, external partners, and engineering teams alike
  • Familiarity with API-driven integrations, platform partnerships, or connected hardware ecosystems is a plus
  • Familiarity with AI-native development environments and product development tools
  • Experience working in a fast-moving, mission-driven consumer tech company is strongly preferred
