About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assists in development of project proposals or plans, including timelines, budgets, procedures, staffing needs, and resource allocation
Works with Functional Managers to address technical issues and ensure timely engineering releases
Oversees project activities to ensure they stay on schedule and within budget
Tracks project progress, manages risks, and prepares reports for management and clients
Facilitates compliance to product specifications, standards, and legal regulations
Provides technical advice and resolves issues with project personnel
Manages moderately complex projects involving high-level stakeholders across multiple continents and cultures for Level 3
Creates project portfolios within defined programs and coordinates several projects within a program for Level 4.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) from a four-year college or university in engineering or a related field
Up to 2 years of project management experience for Level 1
2 to 4 years of project management experience for Level 2
Experience in an engineering environment is preferred but not required
PMP Certification or international equivalent is highly desired but not required for Level 1 and Level 2
2 to 4 years of project management experience in the mining industry and 5 to 8 years of project management experience overall for Level 3
Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) and PMP Certification or international equivalent required for Level 3 and Level 4
Experience with projects spanning multiple business units, continents, and time zones is preferred for Level 3 and Level 4.
