About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop and validate mobile hydraulic systems for our mining machines
  • Perform functional analyses and size hydraulic components: pumps, directional control valves, valves, accumulators, and piping
  • Produce technical documentation: specifications, hydraulic schematics, calculation notes, control law specifications, and manufacturing guidelines
  • Participate in testing, commissioning and acceptance of systems
  • Perform hydraulic system simulations
  • Resolve reliability issues related to hydraulic systems in coordination with multiple departments
  • Analyze wear mechanisms and failures
  • Integrate technical improvements into serial production and propose retrofit solutions for the existing machine fleet
  • Document the chosen technical solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Engineering degree in hydraulics, mechanical engineering, mechatronics or equivalent
  • Proven experience in mobile hydraulics: construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling machines or other mobile machines
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, fluid mechanics, power transmission systems, cooling systems, lubricants and control systems
  • Proficiency with design tools, ideally Creo, and hydraulic schematic/simulation software such as AMESim, Automation Studio, etc.
  • Minimum B2 level in English
  • Knowledge of German is highly desirable
