About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Accurately maintain inventory levels
  • Leads daily cycle counting and the annual physical inventory process
  • Assists with consolidating parts from multiple locations
  • Assists with relocating parts
  • Generate, maintain, and update stock locations
  • Compare incoming physical parts to receiving log for accuracy
  • Implement the purge of stock recalled by OEM or out of date product
  • Download data of parts and input into the computer database
  • Maintain ‘Alternate locations by warehouse and item’
  • Lead projects that require separation piece parts and rework
  • Investigate, resolve, and coordinate shipping and receiving discrepancies
  • Audit quantity to sales orders ensuring accuracy
  • Report inventory variances relative to stocking
  • Lead in reconciliation of inventory discrepancies
  • Submit adjustment requests as needed
  • Participate in upholding 6S standards
  • Perform any work deemed necessary in all areas of the warehouse

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years of experience in inventory control
  • Previous inventory control experience in a warehouse or manufacturing facility preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems
  • Good verbal and written skills
  • Ability to operate across various teams
  • Basic math skills
  • Willingness to respond to general inquiries or complaints with urgency
  • Ability to effectively present information to leadership
  • Ability to recognize inconsistencies and discrepancies
  • Ability to multitask and work through potentially stressful situations
  • Organized and process oriented
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to operate lift trucks up to 10,000lb capacity
  • Skilled in basic keyboarding
  • Ability to navigate through computer or inventory applications
  • Ability to read and interpret company safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, production, and customer sales orders
  • Skilled in reading basic tools of measurements
  • Knowledge of Metric and Standard Systems and conversions
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and good housekeeping practices
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
