About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support and coordinate development and validation of OEM recognised repair methods and refurbishment methods for Liebherr Hydraulic Mechanical and Electrical components
  • Identify repair opportunities and methods by researching industry innovations and leveraging both internal capabilities and external capabilities
  • Draft all test schemes and specifications for part repair lifecycle through validation testing, engineering trials and field performance trials
  • Create individual report for each repair validation and monthly reporting of repair development progresses and field performance updates
  • Develop repair, refurbish and reconditioning methods according to Reman Repair Management System
  • Drafting and modelling of component assembly and piece part in SolidWorks
  • Generating production drawings and repair drawings as well as repair documentation to support the production team such as technical manuals, repair manuals and technical reports
  • Maintain and control the local technical drawing database for issuing to subcontractors on refurbishment work orders
  • Assist in quality deviation and failure investigation project by providing data analysis and/or relevant engineering analysis
  • Provide expert technical guidance, advice and support on component repairability and reusability to Remanufacturing production team
  • Work with repair and refurbishment providers and subcontractors to develop assembly-ready storage, preparation and transport solutions for incoming goods and parts
  • Prepare and submit required reports and analysis of repair and refurbishment methods on technological validity, reliability and economic viability to stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronic Engineering or electrical engineering or equivalent engineering experiences
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills and report writing skills
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Experience in 3D modelling software, experience with modelling packages such as SolidWorks
  • Good knowledge and understanding of fabrication including welding, cladding or other metal repair technology is advantageous
  • Previous work or projects on metallurgical coating or bonding
