About the role
- Manage and update comprehensive purchasing records and purchase orders systematically.
- Prepare detailed reports summarizing purchase activities, order values, and relevant insights.
- Oversee and monitor routine purchasing tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers for project-related purchasing tasks.
- Handle and monitor claims to factories and vendors for defective or missing parts.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies.
- Monitor and coordinate item deliveries to ensure timely receipt.
- Ensure purchases align with specified requirements.
- Plan and manage optimal inventory levels of materials and products.
- Identify and evaluate supplier performance.
- Oversee deliveries from both local and overseas suppliers.
- Have a strong understanding of statutory compliance related to manufacturing operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management, Procurement)
- 5 to 6 years of experience in Electrical/Hydraulics/Bought out Purchases
- Knowledge of tools such as PPAP, FMEA, 8D, Power BI
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
