About the role
- Effective engagement with internal stakeholders to manage and mitigate risks relevant to the product (e.g. Engines) and customer relationships
- Providing technical solutions to reliability and performance issues
- Ensure all technical notifications, campaigns are received and understood by applicable stakeholders
- Act as the direct technical liaison between field operations and COC
- Providing relevant education associated with the technical information
- Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive support and communication
- Expert technical engineering guidance, feedback and support to COC R&D team and Liebherr customers
- Observe engine performance and collect operational data
- Expert diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Oversee maintenance practices
- Conduct failure analysis and report findings
- Support field testing and validation of new components
- Facilitate root cause analysis and change implementation
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between engineering teams and field operations
- Report technical issues and share diagnostic data
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification - mechanical engineering
- Practical experience on engine maintenance at large open cut mine operations
- Several years of experience as an Engineer in a mining or maintenance department
- Several years of experience as an Engineer in the manufacturing industry
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally when required
