About the role
- Responsible for the product across the entire product lifecycle — from requirements analysis through development to delivery of the finished solution.
- Development of automation solutions in the switchgear/control cabinet area for container cranes.
- Creating dynamic interfaces to various bus participants using different fieldbus protocols.
- Implementing interfaces to connect smart sensor systems or higher-level control/management systems.
- Developing system software for the PLCs used, using object-oriented high-level languages.
- Developing application-specific software tailored to our custom, customer-focused solutions.
- Implementing and verifying software solutions both within an agile team and in independently managed sub-projects.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
- Very good knowledge of various fieldbus communication systems such as Profinet, TCP/IP, UDP, or Modbus.
- Independent working style, strong teamwork skills, and flexibility.
- Comfortable working at height on secured platforms (no fear of heights), willingness to travel worldwide, and a valid Class B driving license.
- Experience implementing data transfer protocols across various bus systems.
- Excellent knowledge of PLC programming according to EN 61131-3, particularly in Structured Text, or proficiency in another high-level language such as C/C++ or similar.
- Systematic and analytical approach to fault analysis and execution of system and software tests.
- Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of MS Office applications.
