About the role
- Manage the development and implementation of business strategies in close coordination with executive management for the Finance & Controlling area from an IT perspective
- Identify and assess new IT trends and technologies to unlock business opportunities and drive innovation
- Oversee the activities of all IT units within Finance & Controlling
- Contribute to transformation initiatives and oversee the portfolio of requirements, projects, and services across the Finance & Controlling business area
- Lead change management initiatives using structured methods to overcome barriers and silos
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including executive management) and support decision-making processes
- Ensure compliance with governance policies and risk management processes
- Initiate and lead innovation and digitization projects, evaluate and validate new ideas, technologies, and trends
- Conduct process workshops and ensure sustainable and transparent documentation
- Mentor consultant resources and architects to promote collaboration and professional growth
- Represent the company at conferences, industry events and through thought-leadership activities
Requirements
- Degree in Business Informatics, Business Administration, Computer Science or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of experience in IT strategy & consulting in a similar role (e.g., Business Consultant, Business Partner) in an international environment or a larger mid-sized company in related business areas (Finance & Controlling)
- Proven experience managing complex responsibilities in a global business environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a holistic, technology-agnostic perspective that provides strategic clarity and cross-functional insights
- Strategic thinking and business acumen within own domain
- End-to-end (E2E) cross-functional thinking, mindset and solution design skills
- Good communication skills and stakeholder engagement, especially at C-suite level
- Consulting and facilitation skills (including presentation)
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning; stay up to date with current trends and regulatory changes
- Fluent German and English; any other European language at B2 level is an advantage
- Residence in Germany (no relocation sponsorship provided)
